Coin Show Chronicles: Las Vegas Coin Show, March 2015

Just two weeks after the ANA Mid-Winter Show in Portland, it was time to pack my bags once again and head to Vegas.  The show was brisk as usual, and a bit sad: this would be the last show at the Riveria, and one of the last of any conventions for the Riveria at all.  The hotel and casino, the oldest left on the strip, is going to be blown up and leveled into a parking lot.  No, really.

Nostalgia aside, the show itself was great with lots of buying and selling going down, with a few “surprise guests” — a Flowing Hair $4 Stella and a 1943 copper penny made appearances.  Fun times!  Having just posted a ton of Coin Porn in Portland, I decided to skip it this time as there would be a lot of repetition just two weeks later, but be sure to check it out if you missed it.

I didn’t have the time to do a full show report, but I still took a ton of pictures to share in the hopes that they would tell a story on their own.  It was a blast, and I can’t wait for the next one in the fall!
